Marine workover rigs have diesel, DC, AC, hydraulic, compound and other drive modes. The diesel engine selected is a Caterpillar electronic fuel injection diesel engine designed for hazardous environments, the intake/exhaust and control systems have been modified for explosion-proof compliance, meeting Class I, Zone 2 explosion-proof requirements. The transmission system uses an Allison hydraulic transmission, which is well-matched for optimal performance with characteristics high transmission efficiency and ease of control.

Product introduction

1. Marine workover rigs have diesel, DC, AC, hydraulic, compound and other drive modes. The diesel engine selected is a Caterpillar electronic fuel injection diesel engine designed for hazardous environments, the intake/exhaust and control systems have been modified for explosion-proof compliance, meeting Class I, Zone 2 explosion-proof requirements. The transmission system uses an Allison hydraulic transmission, which is well-matched for optimal performance with characteristics high transmission efficiency and ease of control.

2. The base uses a modular structure, consisting of a drill floor and a lower base. The platform deck is equipped with longitudinal rails, while the upper section of the lower base features transverse rails, enabling both longitudinal and transverse movement. This design meets the operational requirements for cluster well operations on the platform.

3. The workover rig’s drill floor, base, mast, drawworks, driller’s room, power units, high-pressure manifold, solids control system, and well control system are all designed with a modular configuration. These components have obtained third-party product test certificates ensuring compliance with offshore platform classification requirements.

4. The drawworks features a single-drum design, with a hydraulic disc brake (single or dual disc) as the primary braking system. The auxiliary brake uses either a (water-cooled) thrust disc pneumatic brake or an (air-cooled) caliper disc pneumatic brake.

5. The mast is designed as either a tower-type or a double-section telescoping mast, with hydraulic cylinders for lifting and extending. The mast structure is treated with hot-dip galvanizing or hot-spray aluminum, and the exterior is coated with marine-grade anti-corrosion paint.

6. The offshore workover rig is highly reliable, with strong wind resistance, excellent corrosion protection, high explosion-proof standards, and zero pollutant discharge, meeting the requirements for offshore workover operations.

7. Certification from classification society, such as CCS, DNV, BV, etc., can be obtained as per the user’s requirements.
